Here to support you in making sure

Your Voice is Heard

Representation is at the heart of the students' union. Working in partnership with Hartpury, we ensure that your voice is heard and that students are involved in key decisions affecting the student experience. We make sure that your academic interests are represented at programme, department and board level and also make sure that the issues and experiences outside of your course are represented. We do this by operating the SU Rep system, with SU Reps from every tutor group across the university and college working with us to ensure that your issues, concerns and praise is heard.

To find out more about student representation at Hartpury, visit our 'What is a Student Rep?' page or contact your President via studentsunion@hartpury.ac.uk

Ways to Provide Feedback as a Student

Via your SU Rep

Each tutor group is represented by an SU Rep - share your thoughts and feedback with them, and they will take this forward to SU forums and meetings with academic staff.

Directly to the SU

If you have something to share, we want to hear it!

Contact your President directly via studentsunion@hartpury.ac.uk or complete our anonymous form.

Hartpury SU Big Wins

Thanks to your feedback, Hartpury SU have achieved some huge successes over the years. From pushing for the first ever online submission (yes, it used to be paper!!) to influencing policies, we have a history of making change. Here's a summary of some of our biggest wins...

SU building

SU Building Takeover!

In January 2024 we took over the left wing of the Legends building, rebranding it as 'Home of Hartpury Students Union'!

We hear your feedback for more social spaces and improved visibility of the students' union.

Students in SU loft

SU Loft

As part of our building re-brand we opened the new SU loft space for university students. This room includes a self-serve kitchen, swap shop for pre-loved items, TV and sofas to watch movies, whiteboard for project work and range of seating options for study and social.

Bus Passengers

Shuttle Bus Changes

We pushed Hartpury to introduce cashless buses, a shuttle bus that runs on Sundays and better Wi-Fi down at the bus stop.

Timetables

Your voice has led to earlier release of timetables - with earlier enrolment and optional module choice selection, condensed timetables and earlier release of exam timetables to allow you to fit studies around other commitments like part time work.

More SU Events!

This year we've hosted more events, activities and pop-ups than ever before! This includes fire pit nights, discounted clothing pop-ups, art classes, a student money saver event, sustainable fashion event and free professional head shot events.

Cost of Living Support

Times are tough. We've supported students by:

  • Creating our Cost of Living Hub guide (here on the website!)

  • Facilitating student finance pop-ups

  • Clothing, books and stationary swap shop

  • Free SU toast and drinks in the Loft
