Why Volunteer? 

​A volunteering role will help boost your CV and employability, helping you stand out to employers since it provides real-world industry experience and shows you're the kind of person that goes above and beyond. 80% of employers are more likely to hire an applicant with voluntary experience, and many volunteers are offered a paid role within the organisation they volunteer for.

 

Volunteering is a great way to gain work experience whilst studying; it allows you to explore industries and discover potential post-grad careers, as well as learn what you definitely wouldn’t want to do in the future! It can also help you to develop interpersonal skills, such as time management and problem-solving, and you can also increase confidence and self-esteem.
 

The benefits don’t stop once you have finished your volunteering role either! Through volunteering, you can contribute to society by making a long-lasting positive difference and impact within the community.

SU Reps

Are you passionate about improving the student experience and advocating for other students? This might be the role for you!

SU Reps collect feedback from their peers to help inform decision making and inspire change.

Do you want to amplify the voice of students from minority groups who's voice may not be heard as loudly as other's? Lib Reps advocate on behalf of those students to foster a more accessible and inclusive student experience.
